How to Write a Short Poem with David Roderick, June 7 and 14

About

This class will train our attention on short poems that use painterly images and surprising (or at least interesting) juxtapositions and transitions. Optional writing exercises will riff off of assigned readings, but the writers in this class should bring other short poems they'd like workshopped to our friendly, supportive classroom. Our goals include building a poetry community and fostering a sense of playfulness in our writing. Poets of all experience levels are welcome. Dates: 2 Saturdays, June 7 and 14 Time: 10am - 12pm Instructor: David Roderick Ages: Adult Genre: Poetry Price: $195 LEFT MARGIN LIT'S CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY: If you find that you can't take a class for which you registered, you may request a refund, less a $25 administrative fee, at least 48 hours prior to the start of the first class session. If a class doesn't reach its minimum enrollment, it will be cancelled, and all students will receive full refunds.
