This course will offer insight into the art and arc of picture book writing. Classes will cover a range of craft topics including story arc, voice, and emotional resonance, and will address allied industry standards and the submission process. Every hands-on session will be a nurturing space, a writing time-window built into the class—to guide your journey from a seed idea and initial draft to multiple revisions and final polishing of a single full picture manuscript.
With many different picture book examples and plenty of time for Q&A, this course will support you in your picture book creation. Instructor Meera Sriram will offer helpful feedback on your manuscript throughout your writing process.
